Purpose
StridR is a strength training and nutrition app published by Dan Fryde. It offers training programmes, workout and progress tracking, food tracking, a plate scanner and a coach based on artificial intelligence.
By creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
These terms are a translation of the French version, which prevails in case of difference.
Account
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. You sign in with a code sent to your email address: keep access to this address to yourself.
Your username is visible to the people you add as friends. It must not be offensive or impersonate anyone.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Account > Delete my account.
Subscription
Paid features are available through a monthly subscription (no commitment) or a yearly one, paid at once or, where the store offers it, in 12 monthly payments with a 12-month commitment. A first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
Payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). The subscription renews automatically for the same duration (one month, one year, or a new 12-month commitment) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling during the trial avoids any charge. For the yearly plan paid monthly, cancelling stops the renewal at the end of the commitment, but the remaining monthly payments of the current commitment are still due.
Refunds are subject to Apple's or Google's rules. Deleting the app or the account does not stop the subscription.
Referrals: every account has a code to share. When someone who signed up with this code (when signing up) pays for their first subscription, after their free trial, the referrer earns a free month: their next payment is pushed back one month, or they get one month of Premium if they have no active subscription. Apple limits these extensions to two per year on an App Store subscription. Free months have no cash value and cannot be refunded or exchanged; abuse (accounts created to obtain months) may lead to their cancellation.
Health and safety
StridR provides general information about training and nutrition. It is not medical advice: ask a doctor before starting a programme, especially if you have a health problem, an injury, are pregnant or have an eating disorder.
Calories and weights estimated by the plate scanner or from a described meal, as well as the AI coach’s answers, are generated automatically and may be inaccurate. Check them and listen to your body: stop an exercise if it hurts.
Meals and diets
Suggested meals, recipes and quantities are general proposals, calculated automatically from your profile. They do not replace the advice of a doctor or dietitian.
The filters (gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher…) exclude the relevant ingredients from our recipes, but do not guarantee the absence of traces or the composition of the products you buy. If you have an allergy or intolerance, always check the labels.
Halal or kosher meals are compatible with these diets in their choice of ingredients; they are not certified.
Sources of nutrition values: the Ciqual table from Anses (Etalab 2.0 open licence) for manual entry, and Open Food Facts (ODbL licence, Open Food Facts contributors) for scanned products.
Proper use
You agree not to misuse the app: no attempt to access other people’s data, no automated use of the scanner or the coach, no unlawful content sent to the coach.
The plate scanner is limited to 5 analyses per day. The coach and meal descriptions share a limit of 200 messages per month.
In case of breach, the account may be suspended or deleted.
Availability and liability
The app is provided as is. We do our best to keep it running without interruption, but some features depend on third-party services (hosting, artificial intelligence) that may be temporarily unavailable.
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for damage resulting from use of the app contrary to these terms or to the safety advice above.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change; in case of a significant change, you will be informed in the app.
They are governed by French law. For any question or complaint, contact us by email at contact@support-stridr.com. In case of a dispute, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge before going to court.
